I started a post summarizing the bullshit of 2024, and by the time I finished it, I realized it was doom and gloom. I decided to leave that shit in 2024 and make a new post with fireworks, glitter, and good fortune.
Looking ahead at what I want this year to look like...
On my list for 2025: Family vacation, possibly a cruise, bathroom renovation, and a couple of books to read.
Setting goals and manifesting success isn't just for New Year's. Goals give us purpose and direction. Why are goals important? If you have anxiety or ADHD, this quote will resonate with you:
The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score.– Bill Copeland
People who write down their goals are more likely to achieve them compared to those who do not. SMART goals direct you toward the completion of your goals.
Specific - What do you want to achieve? Don't be vague!
Measurable - How are you going to track your progress?
Action Plan - This is your path. Explain the steps you need to take to reach your goal.
Relevant/Realistic: Why is this your goal? Why do you want to achieve your goal?
Is it realistic? Is it possible to make it happen within your time frame?
Time-Bound - Set a time frame to achieve your goal. When is the deadline?
If you don't reach your goal by the deadline - re-evaluate, don't give up!
Manifesting:
Manifestation transforms dreams into reality by aligning your thoughts, beliefs, and actions. It requires wholeheartedly believing in your potential. Start by visualizing your desired outcomes. Envision the achievement of your goals and the emotions that come with it. Write down your ambitions and affirm them regularly. Positive affirmations can help reprogram your mindset and reinforce confidence.
Visualization:
Visualization is a powerful manifestation tool. Imagining your goals vividly helps cultivate the emotions and motivation needed to achieve them.
Create a Vision Board: Collect images, quotes, and symbols that represent your goals and arrange them on a board. Engage in Daily Visualization Practices: Dedicate a few minutes each day to imagine your goals as if they have already been achieved. Embrace the positivity and motivation that arises during these sessions.
On your journey:
Recognize potential setbacks and be prepared with strategies to overcome them.
Fear of Failure: Don't let negative thoughts prevent you from enjoying life. Don't self-sabotage! Acknowledge that setbacks are part of the process. Instead of fearing failure, see it as an opportunity to learn and improve. Replace harmful beliefs with affirmations that reaffirm your potential and ability to succeed.
Procrastination: Often stemming from feeling overwhelmed, procrastination can hinder progress. Tackle this by taking small, manageable steps.

Surround Yourself with Positivity: Connect with supportive individuals who inspire you. Limit exposure to negativity, both online and offline. Find a
Celebrate Your Achievements
As you progress on your journey of goal setting and manifestation, acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, regardless of their size.
Reward Yourself: Treat yourself for every milestone achieved. Whether it's a good meal, a new outfit, or a fun event, rewards reinforce progress and motivation.
Reflect on Your Journey: Take time to assess how far you’ve come and the obstacles you've overcome, and remember your "why".
Remember that every step forward is a vital part of your growth.
